What type of ads can I create?

The LPC Marketplace offers you 8 different types of ads which you can select during ad posting or reposting. Available types are:

  1. Sell
  2. Auction
  3. Buy
  4. Exchange
  5. Donate
  6. Rent
  7. Job – Hiring
  8. Job – Wanted

How does an Auction work?

In order to participate in any auction, bidders must sign in or register for a new account. Once signed in, they can navigate to any auction ad and place a bid in the bidding box. After the auction expires, LPC sends a confirmation email to the winner. Bidders can see a list of all their active auctions in their profile under Auctions.

Can I promote my ad for greater visibility?

Yes. You can promote your current ad to a Premium Ad to gain greater visibility throughout the marketplace. Simply go to your Profile and click on “Your Ads” in the left-hand menu. You will find a list of all available and active promotions for your particular ad. List of available promotions are:

  1. Bump Up Ad  – this will update the creation date so the ad will appear more recent but listing expiration remains the same.
  2. Highlight Ad  – this will make your ad stand out from others in listing with highlighted styling
  3. Top Ad – place your advert in the top positions of listing category
  4. Urgent Ad  – display urgent ribbon on the advert
  5. Home Map Ad  – this will place your ad in the prominent position on home page map

Once you have selected the promotion type and time period you can proceed to the payment screen. Once the payment has processed, your promotion will be active. 

Why do I have to assign location in drop-down and on map?

From dropdown you are selecting general location of your advert while selecting it on the map you are being more precise. Also if the location search of the marketplace is set to geolocation, people who search by location will find your ad more easier. Location search of the marketplace can also be set as list of predefined values in which case value from the dropdown is being used.

What ad submission packages do you offer?

The LPC Marketplace offers free and premium (subscription-based) ad packages so you can choose how long to display your ad. You can cancel and remove your ad at anytime. For more information regarding our packages or if you have a custom request, please contact us.

How do I contact a Advertiser/Seller?

You will find the phone number of the advertiser/seller by visiting the profile page or any of the ads.

If you wish to start a messaging conversation with the advertiser/seller, you must first create an account. Once you have created your account, navigate to the advert to locate button for sending messages. Your messages and conversations are available on your profile in a messaging system where you will be able to continue conversations.

How does the review system work?

To ensure the integrity of reviews on the LPC Marketplace site, reviews can only be posted by registered users.

There are two types of reviews: buyer and seller. To review as a buyer, first, register as a user (if you have not already done so) and send a message to the seller. Once the seller responds, both you and the seller will be able to post reviews about each other. Sellers cannot review a buyer that hasn’t reviewed them.

Once you post a review, it cannot be changed. The other party will have the opportunity to respond to your review.

Your reviews will remain in your public profile.

What are favourited ads?

If you have found an ad that you want to visit later, you can mark it as “Favourite” and it will be saved to the list of your favourited ads. You can see this list in your Profile Dashboard.

How do I report an ad violation?

If you notice an ad that is misleading, offensive or misplaced, you can report it by clicking on the Report button on the ad and providing some info. The ad will remain active until the administrator intervenes.

How long does it take for my new ad to be found in Google search?

It can take up to 7 days for your ad to appear in Google search. It can take up to 2 months to gain a favourable search engine result postion for specific keywords related to your ad.
